Curing Light

The Curing Lamp will determine if there is success or failure with gel applications and is the most important aspect in your gel work. The use of 9-watt bulbs manufactured by SLI, Phillips or Sylvania (UK only) is strongly recommended. If you experience lifting, soft product, lack of shine and luster the cause is often the wrong bulb. The quality of the lamp has a great effect on the longevity of the bulb, cure strength and satisfaction in product performance. Cure times for all our products should be 2 minutes, no less than 90 seconds with good quality bulbs.

Step 1

1) Push back the eponychium and remove cuticle.

2) Cleanse the nail thoroughly with Evoke Gel Cleanser and a wipe.

3) Remove the shine from the surface with a new 150 grit file.

4) Cleanse thoroughly with Gel Cleanser.

5) Inspect each nail for a uniform white appearance. The nail should have a white ‘powder-like’ appearance.

Step 2


Sparingly apply 1 coat of Base Gel to all 5 nails and cure for 30 seconds.

Repeat on other hand

Step 3

Using the reverse technique, apply a thin coat of Cool Pink or Warm Pink (depending on the client skin tone).
Proceed from the cuticle sculpting toward the free-edge, for best results wipe brush clean and create the smile line, working on 2 nails at time.
Cure for 1 minute then Continue through all 10 nails

Step 4

Customize and Apply nail form making sure it is has proper fit to prevent nail break down.

Step 5

Apply White Gel. Follow the smile line created earlier, work on 2 nails at a time. Cure 2 Minutes then Continue through all 10 nails.

Step 6 

Cap the entire nail with Ice Clear Gel creating an arch.
Cure for 1 minute.
Repeat with Ice Clear gel to insure great strength and structure.
Cure 2 minutes.
Note: finish 4 nails at a time, repeat on other hand then finish with the thumb.

Step 7

Cleanse the nail with Gel Cleanser and lint free wipes.

File and shape with 150 grit collectible nail file. Once the desired shape is reached, use the Gel Cleanser and wipe to clean the entire nails.

Step 8

Apply a thin coat of Top Gel and cure for 2 minutes.

Note: finish 4 nails at the time, repeat on other hand then finish with the thumb.
